Goodbye bearing damage - minimise rolling resistance with ball bearings from Sweden
When it comes to bearing sets for the crankshaft of your motorbike, deep groove ball bearings or roller bearings, the products from top manufacturer SKF are right at the top. Bearings from Svenska Kugellagerfabriken have been among the best on the market for decades. Axial and radial bearings from SKF are not the cheapest products in this segment, but score highly thanks to their high quality. The manufacturer's extensive product range is also impressive. Whether for Solex, Puch or Hercules mopeds, the Swedish manufacturer offers the right ball shaft bearing for almost every moped model. For tuned engines, you will find SKF products with increased bearing clearance in our range, which minimise rolling resistance. No question, the ball bearings from Sweden should not be missing from our range.
Speciality: Ball bearings for high speeds
SKF is one of the few manufacturers of ball bearings that has remained true to its original field of business to this day. The Swedes have been manufacturing bearings for around 100 years and are one of the industry's innovation leaders. In addition to decades of experience, state-of-the-art materials and manufacturing techniques ensure that SKF bearings are extremely resilient and durable. The manufacturer's products are therefore also an excellent choice if you have tuned your moped. It is no coincidence that Svenska Kullagerfabrik is an established supplier to numerous racing teams in motorsport, with SKF supplying bearings for the Ferrari Formula 1 team, among others. Of course, you as the end consumer also benefit from the innovations that result from these co-operations. This is because the Swedes not only pass on technical innovations to their partners in racing, but also to the amateur mechanic in the garage at home.
Ingenuity and engineering skills from Sweden
With a turnover of around 8 billion euros, Svenska Kullagerfabriken is now one of the most important manufacturers of ball, roller and crankshaft bearings in Europe. Founded in 1907, the company is still headquartered in Gothenburg, but the radial bearings and ball bearings for engines and gearboxes are no longer only manufactured in Sweden. The company expanded abroad at a very early stage and therefore already had around 12,000 employees at 12 locations in various European countries in 1918. To date, the number of SKF production sites has grown to around 165 and the company employs almost 50,000 people. Today, SKF offers its products, from deep groove ball bearings to bearing sets for crankshafts, in around 130 countries worldwide and can rely on a dealer network of around 15,000 sales partners. SKF ball bearings are now manufactured in Switzerland, as well as in Steyr, Austria, and Germany.
